Profile Settings

Your profile is your public-facing identity on Buildify. You can add a photo, bio, and links that appear on your public profile page and alongside your community projects.

Accessing profile settings​

  1. Click your avatar in the top navigation
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown
  3. Click the Profile tab in the Settings sidebar

What you can set​

Profile photo​

Click the edit pencil on your avatar to upload a new photo. Photos must be under 5MB. Most standard image formats are accepted (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, etc.). Your photo updates as soon as you save.

Username​

Your username is your unique identifier on Buildify. It appears in your public profile URL:

buildify.dev/profile/your-username

Usernames must be unique.

Name​

Your display name is how you appear in the Buildify interface and on your public profile. It doesn't need to be unique and can include spaces and special characters. This is different from your username.

Show email address publicly​

Toggle whether your email address is visible on your public profile. It's hidden by default.

Description​

A short description of yourself or what you build. This appears on your public profile.

Location​

Optional. Your city, country, or region — displayed on your public profile.

A URL to your website, portfolio, LinkedIn, or any other social media profile.

Saving changes​

Click Save Changes after making edits. Updates appear on your public profile immediately.

Your public profile​

Your public profile is visible at buildify.dev/profile/your-username. It shows:

  • Your photo, display name, username, bio, location, and link
  • Your public Buildify projects

Anyone can view your public profile — no account required.
