The Tasks Board

The Tasks board is where work gets done in your Company. It's a shared board where you, your teammates, and the Buildify Agent create, assign, and complete tasks — each producing a real deliverable like a website, document, slide deck, or image.

Opening your Company workspace

When you switch into a Company account, the sidebar shows an Operations section with a Tasks item. The Tasks item shows a badge with the number of active tasks.

The workspace has two panels:

  • Left — the chat — Talk to the Buildify Agent. Ask it to do work, answer its questions, and get updates as tasks complete.
  • Right — the Tasks board — Your To Do / In Progress / Completed columns.

The board columns

Each task card shows who it's assigned to (the Buildify Agent or a teammate), the task title, its status, and the type of deliverable it produces. As tasks run and finish, cards move between columns automatically.

Creating a task

  1. Click + Add Task
  2. Choose an Assignee — the Buildify Agent or a team member (you can also add a new team member here)
  3. Enter a Task Name (for example, "Create a pitch deck")
  4. Add a Description / Prompt with any notes or instructions
  5. Set a Deadline, or make it a Repeat task (daily, weekly, or monthly)
  6. Create the task

The new task appears in the To Do column.

Agent tasks vs. team tasks

  • Agent tasks are assigned to the Buildify Agent. When run, the agent creates the deliverable (a Buildify project of the right type) and works on it automatically. You can watch its progress live on the board and in the chat.
  • Team tasks are assigned to a person. They move through To Do → In Progress → Completed as your teammate works, with a deadline to keep things on track.

Running and reviewing work

  • Click Start on a task to begin it. Agent tasks kick off immediately and move to In Progress.
  • While the agent works, the card shows a live status (for example, elapsed time).
  • If the agent needs more information, the task shows Waiting for input — answer it in the chat to continue.
  • When the agent finishes, its deliverable is ready and the task moves to Completed. Open the task at any time to review the work.
  • Tasks that fail or need another pass can be started again.

Your first tasks

When you create a Company, the Buildify Agent automatically adds a starter set of tasks and begins working on the first ones — such as a Mission Statement and a Competitive Analysis — so you can see it in action right away. Over your first week, it suggests a sequence of helpful next steps (like defining your ideal customer, drafting a landing page, and planning your MVP).

tip

Your Day 1 tasks are free. Running tasks beyond Day 1 requires an active Company subscription — see Plans and Credits.

The completed archive

The Completed column shows your most recent finished tasks. Click View All → to open the Completed Archive, where you can browse everything you've finished and filter by deliverable type (Website, Slides, Docs, Images, Agent, AI Chat).

Keeping the board tidy

Completed tasks can be archived automatically. In your Company Settings, turn on Auto-archive completed tasks and choose how many days to keep them before they're archived (7, 14, or 30 days).

Empty board?

If you don't have any tasks yet, you'll see "No tasks yet." Add a task manually with + Add Task, or ask the Buildify Agent in the chat to generate tasks based on your company goals.
