Templates and Categories
When creating a project, Buildify offers template categories to help you get started faster. Instead of writing everything from scratch, you can pick a category that matches your goal and let the AI use it as a starting point.
How templates work
After selecting a project type on the dashboard, a set of category chips appears below the prompt input. Each chip represents a common use case for that project type.
Selecting a category does two things:
- It pre-fills or suggests a starting prompt for you
- It tells the AI what kind of output to optimize for
You can edit the suggested prompt before creating the project, or ignore it entirely and write your own.

Starting without a template
You don't have to use a template. Simply type your own description directly into the prompt input and create the project. The AI will figure out the best approach based on what you describe.
Templates are a starting point — not a constraint. Even if you start from a template, you can steer the project in any direction through conversation once it's created.
