Credits Explained

Credits are the currency you use to generate content in Buildify. Every time the AI generates code, images, or other content for you, it uses a small number of credits.

How credits work​

  • Each AI generation (a code change, image, slide, etc.) costs a certain number of credits
  • Credits are deducted from your balance as you use them
  • Your current credit balance is visible in the profile dropdown (click your avatar in the top navigation)
  • When you run out of credits, you'll need to wait for your next subscription renewal, collect your daily gift, or earn more through referrals

The two types of credits​

Buildify uses two distinct credit types, both shown in your profile dropdown:

Subscription Credits​

These come from your Pro subscription, granted at the start of each billing period.

  • Spent first whenever you use the product
  • Roll over into the next billing period, up to your plan's monthly credit amount (anything above that cap expires at renewal)
  • Expire immediately if you cancel your subscription

Bonus Credits​

These are everything else — daily gifts, referral bonuses, milestone rewards, and coupon redemptions.

  • Spent after your subscription credits are used up
  • Never expire

When you use the AI, Buildify automatically spends subscription credits first, then bonus credits if needed.

Ways to earn credits​

Welcome bonus​

When you create a new Buildify account, you receive a free welcome bonus of bonus credits automatically — no purchase needed. This lets you try the platform right away.

Daily free gift​

Buildify gives you a small amount of free credits on a recurring basis. To claim them, click the Daily Gift button in the top navigation. The timer resets approximately every 18 hours.

Referral bonuses​

When you invite someone to Buildify using your referral link and they sign up, both of you receive bonus credits. Find your referral link via Invite and Earn in your profile dropdown. See Referral Program for details.

Subscription​

Subscribe to the Pro plan to receive a recurring monthly allowance of subscription credits. See Billing and Credits for plan details.

Team credit usage​

If you've invited team members to your project folders, their AI usage also draws from your credit balance. You can view how many credits each team member has used from the team modal inside a project folder.

Checking your balance​

Click your avatar in the top navigation to open the profile dropdown. Your current Subscription Credits and Bonus Credits are shown there.

What happens when you run out?​

If your credit balance reaches zero, AI generation will pause until you add more credits. Your projects and all previously generated content remain fully accessible — you just won't be able to generate new content until credits are available.
