Your Dashboard

Your dashboard is the home base for everything in Buildify. From here you can create new projects, find existing ones, and organize your work.

Layout overview​

The dashboard has two main areas:

  • Left sidebar — Navigation, your project folders, and quick actions
  • Main area — Project creation, your project folders, and your workspace projects

On smaller screens, the sidebar collapses into a drawer.

Creating a new project​

The large input area in the center of the dashboard is where you start a new project.

  1. Click on the input field and type a description of what you want to build
  2. Select a project type using the buttons below the input (Web App, Slides, Images, Docs, AI Chat)
  3. Optionally select a template category that appears after choosing a type
  4. Click the submit arrow (or press Enter) to create your project

You can also attach a file — such as an image or document — to give the AI additional context when generating your project.

Your project folders​

Project folders help you organize your projects. Think of them like folders on your desktop. In the sidebar they appear under the PROJECTS section.

  • Creating a project folder — Click the + New Project button in the sidebar
  • Adding projects to a folder — Projects can be assigned to a folder when created, or moved later from project settings
  • Navigating folders — Click any folder in the sidebar to see its projects

Individual projects that aren't inside a folder appear under the WORKSPACE section in the sidebar.

Finding your projects​

Your projects appear in two places on the dashboard:

  • My Projects — A grid of your project folders and the projects inside them
  • Workspace — Projects not assigned to a folder, also shown in the WORKSPACE section of the sidebar

Click any project card to open it and continue working.

  • + New Item — Create a new project (same as starting from the main input area)
  • + New Project — Create a new project folder
  • Assets — A visual gallery of all your projects and their generated assets across your entire account. Click any card to open that project directly.
  • Search — Search across all your projects by name

Top navigation​

  • Daily Gift — Click to claim your recurring free credits (resets approximately every 18 hours)
  • Profile menu (your avatar) — Opens a dropdown showing your username, credit balances, and quick links to Invite and Earn, Settings, Dark Mode, and Sign Out
